I like that it is a very small kitchen set (our house doesn't have room for a full size standing kitchen) that can fit all the pieces into a compact basket (8.5in x 6.5in x 5in). One downside of the small size is that some of the play food becomes small enough that is can be a choking hazard (presumably the reason for being labeled as an age 3+ product). There are also several oddities that don't make sense to me. Perhaps some of these are defects the item shipped to me, but most seem like weirdly designed features. 1) the pot and the frying pan have a 1cm diameter hole in the center. Why? 2) There are five buttons in front of the stove, but only two of them do anything. The left most one functions as the power button, playing a few second melody when turning on and saying bye when turning off. The button second from the left makes a sizzling sound when pushed, but only if the unlabeled "power button" is pushed first. The other three buttons do nothing regardless of power on or off. 3) the sticker for the top of the basket says "spray the kitchen," which seems like an odd phrase to me. The bottle shaped to be ketchup is green. The sticker are applied by the purchaser, so you can skip the stickers if you want. 4) The closing and opening the oven is a bit difficult; if the oven close completely, I have a hard time getting it open 5) There are two small holes in the bottom of the basket, so it you want your child to operate the faucet you will need to place a container with water underneath, then it looks like it operates like a pump for water to come out. I haven't tried that yet, but I didn't play to have my daughter use that feature anyway. 6) There are no assembly instructions, but it is self explanatory and shown in video along with the product pictures on amazon, although in the video the sticker have already been applied.Overall, this play kitchen in a basket is the quality I would expect for a 45 piece set that costs about $20. The only thing that surprised me was the 1cm hole in each pot/frying pan.
