Containers are as advertised, glass, leak proof, etc. Lost one star for lengthy disassembly requirement before use. Every lid had to be partially disassembled in order to fully remove the "protective" plastic wrapping (see images). Each lid had some protective plastic pinned under at least one (usually two) of the latching hinge points. If I could add a half star back I would since none of the lids broke during the disassembly and re-assembly process.Lately, I have been getting rid of plastic containers and came across these glass meal prep containers. Buying these glass meal prep containers has definitely been a great alternative as they are sturdy, easy to clean, and stain resistant. Although these containers do have plastic lids. I think it would have been better if the lids were also made of glass. Other than that, I highly recommend these containers.Terrific buy!! Perfect size for portions and take away meal on the go. I'm going to re-use it to ship delicates. Anyway, the reason I got these was to freeze small casseroles for my husband so he has something to eat when I travel for work. I have not yet frozen, thawed, or baked anything yet with them. The lids aren’t dishwasher safe so I hand wash them - the flaps are a little finicky and sometimes come out and have to be hooked back into place. Overall solidDidn't even open the box.
