4pcs Kitchen Cooking Silicone Fried Oven Poacher Pancake Egg Poach Ring Mould.
4pcs Kitchen Cooking Silicone Fried Oven Poacher Pancake Egg Poach Ring Mould.
We purchased these rings to make our own "egg McMuffins". My first attempt was a failure! I mixed 1 egg up in a small Dixie cup (easy to pour) poured it into the sprayed pan/egg holder and watched the egg lift the holder up and my egg ran all over the pan-what the HECK! After reading other tricks/reviews here's the steps to make it work! First, spray non-stick coating on pan/ring while its sitting in the pan, turn the heat on and wait for it to heat up, pour just enough egg in the holder to just cover the bottom (this is the important step), let it firm up a couple seconds to seal the bottom and then dump in the rest of your egg. Now here's the other trick! The egg is too thick to cook completely to the top without scorching the bottom so pour a small amount of water in the pan (the egg is sealed in the ring so water wont hurt it) now put a lid on the pan and in just a couple minutes the boiling water will cook the rest of the egg. All done! Now carefully hold the egg in the pan with a spatula while you dump the water out , lift the ring off the egg and BINGO-ring lifts cleanly off, pan is clean and egg is perfect!...for extra large eggs :)I've used these for a lot more than eggs. Eggs need cooking spray to release well. Easy to clean and silicone makes them handy for other uses. Couldn't beat the price but they ship direct from China. Nowadays (4/2022) that might be a problem.Useless. Came twisted in a small package. Will not lay flat. Will not contain egg long enough to solidify. Ended up flipping eggs on a griddle as usual. Whats the use ? They need more substance and surely need to package better. I even tried to boil these rings and flatten out on a cookie sheet, then bake on a cookie sheet, no use. They will pay to get them back so there must be some value to them, but not me.excellent!!! Took FOREVER to receive these but the price and product are excellent. 100% silicone and the handles are short enuf you can put the lid on your frypan without disturbing. Eggs will still stick as expected but not as bad as to the teflon coated rings - those are the worst. Spray cooking spray after you place in pan and use the tip of a knife around the inside before removing to flip and you will be fine. These make big fluffy eggs from a large egg so your breakfast sandwiches will be picture perfect! I love being able to cook 4 at once for batch freezing of breakfast sandwiches.Update: Still LOVING these. After experimenting, the ideal breakfast sandwich is made with those cheapo hamburger buns. The size is perfect and with a precooked sausage patty (I like Aldi's microwaved for 1 min itself to get majority of grease out), I add a piece of cheese (cut with an old METAL egg ring I will never use again), I make these up and freeze 4 at a time individually assembled and put in waxed paper sandwich bags. I freeze the bags in a large plastic freezer bag. Best texture is pull out of freezer night before and put in fridge. Then 30seconds (800watt) on each side (still in the wax bag) and you can take the bag with you and eat right out of it to avoid possible drips. Yes, we all eat in the car on the way to work sometimes...enjoy! Next will try 'griddle cake sandwiches' by using pancakes for bread and the maple flavored sausage patties. Might be good with homemade turkey sausage too.So far these things are amazing. They came from China so be prepared to wait about a month or longer to get them. Bottom line, they cost around $3 for 4 pieces. You can't beat that price. Even if I get a couple months use it will still have been worth it.My husband loves to make breakfast sandwiches and this created the perfect mold to make eggs in, but I imagine you can pour anything in them (pancakes, hash browns, patties, etc).I've included some pictures. The eggs slide very easily out of the mold, and there is nothing left behind, as shown in the picture with the spatula. You are left with a perfect little egg ready for an english muffin.**Update** (~2 Months later)We were sent 2 Yellow, 1 Blue, and 1 Green. The green one leaks slightly when we put an egg in it. We thought it might have been our pan, because it is warped just enough so that others occasionally leak, but this past weekend we brought out our griddle, and the green still leaked where the other ones did not. It's not a massive leak by any means. Maybe 1/2 tsp of the egg whites leaked out. But I wanted to update my review. Our pans only holds 3 comfortably anyway. I still love these, and they are still working great!Despite what I've read in some reviews, I've had absolutely no problems with these. They arrived in perfect condition. Eggs don't stick (used them numerous times now) and they wash up perfectly clean. These replaced some inferior metal so-called "non-stick" rings that everyone sees in the stores. And these were ridiculously low priced! If you're having trouble cooking stick-free eggs, you're doing it all wrong.- Use a good non-stick pan (not those garbage ceramic types that everything sticks to after a few uses).- Optionally, use a little butter or oil. The idea is that the oil or butter is used to transfer some heat to the ring. Silicone doesn't absorb heat easily.- Make sure the pan is hot before you dump the egg in. Pour the egg in slowly so that the egg white seals around the edge of the ring.- Cover the pan and reduce the heat. Slow cooking is better. Otherwise, the egg will bubble and boil and can spill out of the ring.- When the egg is cooked, simply tug the small ears and it should completely release. It has worked for me every time. You'll appreciate the low handles (or "ears") since they won't interfere with covering the pan.Great little piece of equipment that serves a purpose in my kitchen. Better after they were used a few times as they now lie flatter on my griddle, stopping the eggs running out.All 4 arrived and do exactly what they are meant to do . I warm them up first in the pan this helps a lotVery good product. Just a shame you have to wait for forever for them to come from China.not very goodVery happy with products
