I was successful at retrofitting this burner to a vintage1954 Frigidaire electric range. The original 3 wire burners have not been available for many years. You will need to figure out the connections, as there are three wires, three terminals and five heat settings. Basically make sure the 240 V lines (on HIGH setting) are connected to the two lowest resistance elements. Then connect the 120V lead (for Simmer setting) to the highest resistance element. That would be both the inner coil and outer coil, which are joined by a common connection on the element. Should be good to keep this baby going for another 50 years!
