I used these in the bottom of pot for water bath canning, and to place jars on when removed from canning. The different sizes are useful to have, although the smallest is pretty small for my purposes. The main comment here is that stability is not great for canning as it's easy to get the center of mass of a jar to be outside the legs that elevate the racks, and that can cause the rack to tip. So do take care when placing the first jar on the rack, or when removing other jars. These will tip over with just one jar on them if that jar is not sufficiently in the center. Main danger I've seen is when removing jars from the water bath and placing on a rack to cool, the rack is likely to tip unless you're careful. After cooling take care when removing jars also as it can tip when center of gravity shifts as jars are removed.I needed a smallish round rack to fit in my stockpot in order to process some canned jam and these fit the bill perfectly!I love these racks...they are the perfect size for one of my stock pots, and my dutch oven.This is such a great set with different size to fit in my pan for steaming vegetables and to use as baking rack!These will work perfectly for me. Thank you :)These cooling racks are well made and heavy enough so that they can resist being accidentally bent or damaged.I bought these racks so I could use one of them in my dutch oven while deep frying to keep the foods that I’m frying off the bottom of the pot.I love the fact that no matter how many things I have to jar up, I can use the size that fits the pot, from two to 6 jars. Making any pot a cold water canner. So less water, means less time to bring up to boiling!Been needing this for my canning projects
