This is like many all-purpose seasonings...you've got your salt, pepper, onion, garlic flavors....and some variety of herbs...but nothing that screams at you.What's different about this one is that it's got acidity!If you sprinkle this on to your palm, and take a taste, you'll get:Salty, Sour, Garlicky/Onion, Black Pepper and then a lingering of something herbal...probably oregano, but it's not obvious. It works for everything...I cook American, Latin American and Mexican, German, Chinese and Thai. I wouldn't hesitate to put this in any of these cuisines along with whatever makes its truest flavor profile. If it has any heat, red pepper, I can't tell, I believe the boldness is coming from the acidity. What's NOT immediately evident (if it's even in there at all): NO celery flavor, NO cumin flavor. NO smokey flavor, No Smoked Paprika flavor.I use this as part of a mix for my ribs. Also as another blend for my burgers.I use this for meatloaf.I use it on baked chicken.I use it in chicken salad.I use it in dips and sauces.On pork and beef steaks, as is. Or as is + some cayenne for a bit of heat.My favorite ribeye steak seasoning is half this, half Spice Island's Hickory Smoked SaltI was out of it for a year, because my original provider stopped selling it, and for awhile it wasn't on Amazon. NOW, my food tastes more like I like it!
