This is NOT the OEM ignitor from Whirlpool -- it's a generic replacement, and it's not as shown in the photo, with the wiring harness and plug included. That said, it was a lot cheaper than the one made by Whirlpool, and it works just fine. It was easy to install: you just cut two wires and attach them to the old wiring harness with the included ceramic connectors. And a word of warning which you won't find in the included installation instructions or in any of the "how-tos" I looked at online: the actual ignitor element is ceramic, and it's incredibly fragile -- it will break if you drop or mishandle it."The part received was defective, the ceramic ignitor was broken - missing a huge chuck. A cursory QA inspection may have uncovered this.
