I bought these after more than one Teflon pan eventually lost all its coating and had to be replaced. I wanted something non-stick, but not Teflon. I'm pretty happy with these. I love to cook and I HATE cooking with cheap equipment. We mostly do not use metal on them, but I do have teens and renters using my kitchen and pans and they often use metal (despite being asked not to). Despite that, no scratches or marks of any kind so far (6 months?). The heat distribution is pretty good. They take awhile to heat up, but they cook eggs perfectly, nothing sticks AT ALL, and they clean remarkably easily.A hard-anodized Calphalon set I've been using for years, and when I needed to replace one (because I burnt something beyond recognition), I bought this new generation of the hard-anodized and it will last for years, unless I burn something again...haha.This is my second set of pans. I consistently put them in dishwasher. The only downfall is there are no matching lids.I learnt to pay high cost for quality items and not wasting money for cheap stuffs ending up in quantity but not qualityI've been using this for a few months now and it's working out great. It's a little heavy, but that's to be expected.Easy to use, good heat distribution, large enough for big meals, etc.They have great weight to them, and the food slides right out. Great for trying to eat healthy and reduce the amounts of fats you cook with! Highly recommend!Perfect pancakes, no oil added to the pan. I can scramble eggs on low heat, no added oil too.Well made solid cookware. They are machine washable but I always hand wash because the clean up is so easy.Truly non-stick. Cooking something on high heat was what killed it. I usually only ever cook things on medium but I was frying some stakes and wanted to char the outside a bit while not cooking the inside so I cranked it up to high. After I was done I left it on another burner which I wasn't using to cool. When I went to clean it later the center of the pan had stuff stuck to it so I let it soak, then came back cleaned it some more, let it soak again, repeated that a couple more times until it was clean. Now things always get stuck to that part of the pan and it's difficult to clean there. I'd still assess it as a good pan, just don't ever use high heat with it, get a cast iron pan for those rare times you need high heat. It does say in the instructions not to use high heat, if you're inclined to read that sort if thing.Love these frying pans! Calphalon is a great product, even heat distribution, no sticking and easy to clean. Amazon typically has them at a reasonable price. This is our second pan and we love this one in particular because of the "wok" design. Great to stir fry and perfect for risotto. Arrived well packaged and delivery was, as usual, fast and efficient.My wife and I love this line of pots and pans and we now have a complete set (more or less). We're aware that Calphalon has a much more expensive line but they must be for Pros because this line does everything we need to do and they appear to have the build quality that will last for many years. An excellent find.
