Don't expect this replacement knob to fit the model of range listed in the product description. The collet insert is too small for the burner spindles on which it is supposed to mount and if you remove the collet, the knob is loose and doesn't work. Also, the base of the collet receptacle is too shallow and forces the knob visibly farther out from the range compared to the original factory knobs. This is the second time I attempted to order a replacement burner knob for my GE gas range (Model Number PGB918SEMSS). I ordered the knobs from two different retailers with the same result. The knobs are identical, apparently manufactured by the same company and sold through different replacement part retailers. In order to mount the knob, I had to alter it by routing out the collet receptacle, expanding the collet, and boring a hole through the back of the receptacle so the knob could be pushed even with the existing knobs. Don't attempt this unless you have a drill press, Dremel set, Exacto knife set, and considerable experience retrofitting small connector parts. The knob should fit out of the package since it's supposedly designed for the range model listed, but it absolutely does not. I also had to pay a hefty shipping charge to this particular retailer even though I am a Prime member. Unacceptable.
