It was a little hard to u;se. Not bad thoughDidn’t fit. Piece of trash and a waste of money.Wrong size it won't fit my ovens bulb cover BEWAREThe item doesn't fit my Bosch Globe Oven Light for removal to replace the light bulb. I've done research and they don't make one to fit my oven. The part is made for European ovens apparently, so you should measure the globe to ensure that it fits. The plastic tool is not strong enough to twist off the oven lamp cover if it's welded on tight like mine was. tried two of these from different suppliers only to find them the same. After searching google for top tips all you need is a piece of wood and a small hammer. Just place the piece of wood on one of the ridges of the bulb cover and gently tap it obviously in the loosening direction. Mine came off in about 4 seconds after days and days of trying these plastic tools that just don't work on tight bulb covers. This tool is utterly fantastic. I totally disagree with the reviewer who said if you can't shift the light cover wearing rubber gloves then you won't shift it with this tool. I tried everything, rubber gloves, rubber sheet, bare hands, damp teatowel - I just couldn't shift the cover this time despite having managed okay on previous lamp changes. I was all set to order a new cover and smash the existing one with a hammer when I saw this tool and thought it was worth a try. When I took it out of the bag, I saw it had a trough on the back (it's not very visible on the photo) and realised I could put a screwdriver shank along it and use the screwdriver to get more leverage. I tried it and the tool slipped off the cover. I realised that I needed more upwards pressure. So, I put it on again and pushed upwards and prepared to heave to try and shift the glass, making sure I was going in the correct direction so as not to tighten the glass further. It was amazing. I didn't have to pull the tool very hard at all - the cover came off remarkably easily. I am so impressed. Now maybe your glass is stuck tighter and you will have to smash it. But I would strongly recommend trying this tool first because it worked like a charm for me. I have now put it away safely ready to use again. I am in awe of this well designed tool :)Simply does not work because the maker of the expensive oven Neff give lots of publicity to the fold-in door feature but decided to put cheap bits to enable bulb removal. This tool does not grip the bulb cover properly and slides off having moved the cover very slightly. The maker of the oven is well aware of this very common fault highlighted in numerous reviews but their only solution is to keep moving this tool back and forth in the hope of it working otherwise call one of their engineers out at a cost of £99 per visit. Not what one would expect from a company of this standing. Therefore I would say that this product is a waste of money and it would be better to try a strap wrench or even a flashlight. The first time I changed our oven lightbulb, I did it with a bit of elbow grease. It took about 15 mins but eventually I got the glass cover off. This time, the thing wouldn't budge. I followed all the tips (pre heat the oven to help soften grease, wiggle the glass cover etc) and nothing worked.I eventually caved and bought this light cover removal tool and got the cover off in about 10 seconds. It's important when you are unscrewing to apply upward pressure as well as rotating anti-clockwise as this stops the tool from slipping off.Overall, a great buy and saves time/effort and also the skin on your knuckles from trying to remove the glass cover! When the light went out in my oven at the weekend, it was the worst-case scenario: I was cooking a Toad-in-the-Hole. For this delicious dish, a fully illuminated oven is crucial because you can't open the door to see how it's doing. If you do, and it's not ready, the slowly inflating batter will collapse. As it happens, I managed to judge it correctly and was able to present my kids with a tip-top Toad. But that was only because luck was on my side.Still, it's no problem, I thought, I'll just change the bulb. And that's where things went awry. The light casing was impossible to move, no matter what tricks I employed to get a firm grip on the thing. I came across this lamp light removal tool after Googling my problem. None of the other Google solutions worked or were too scary to employ (squirt WD-40 on it? Er, no thanks. I like my food to taste of food, not of a penetrating oil and water-displacing spray). So I order this gadget and a piece of plastic turns up. Much to my surprise, it worked a treat. The casing came loose straightaway; I changed the bulb; order was restored to my kitchen.
