Whirlpool 4342528 Oven Igniter Replacement - Genuine Silver Ignitor for Gas Stoves & Ranges - Perfect for Baking, Roasting & Cooking at Home

A few days ago our early '90s Whirlpool Super Capacity 465 gas oven/range would not ignite gas in the oven. The stovetop burners would ignite, the oven control panel worked, but gas would not ignite in the oven. After some internet troubleshooting, decided the oven igniter had failed. The original Whirlpool part# is 3194667; however, this 4342528 part was described as a valid replacement. Installation was not bad: 1) SHUT OFF POWER TO OVEN, 2) removed oven floor (2 screws), 3) removed gas shield (2 screws), 4) removed failed igniter (2 bolts), 5) pulled out broiler drawer, 6) unplugged failed igniter wire, 7) plugged in new igniter and re-assembled all parts in reverse order and restored power. Oven works again! This 4342528 appears to be a valid replacement for Whirlpool 3194667. Cannot speak to longevity of part yet, of course. Thank you to the seller; prompt shipping and delivery, too.
