I'm surprised at what you can learn from this product - like how quickly liquid cools off when removing it from heat. The temperature gun is accurate. I tested it against my digital house thermostat and my water boiler that has a temperature gauge on the lid. All readings were very close - within a fraction of one degree. I also verified that my Technovorm Coffeemaker heated the water to the proper temperature range for coffee (195 - 205) and it does, as claimed. Since I mainly use this product to measure water temperature, I adjusted the emissivity for water. It's a good thing the chart is included to tell you what the number should be for different surfaces. I never heard of "emissivity" before, so I read up on it to understand why it's important.The bottom reading is a bit confusing, so I usually ignore it. The display is great - very visible.I use this device to check the surface temperature of my 4-burner Blackstone griddle. I adjust the temperature on different areas of the griddle to suit what I’m cooking. With this device, I know the exact temperature of each area. Takes the guesswork out of it. I won’t cook without it. Perfect companion for any griddle.It does the trick and meets my need. The only difficulty is trying to hold down the pointer laser button while pulling the trigger. The grip is slippery and would be much more comfortable if rubberized. But I can easily wrap a bit of grip tape on it. Overall I like it.Fairly accurate. easy to use. helpful for many thingsGot this to monitor the temperature in my pizza oven. It does a great job and is easy to use. I highly recommend.A little inaccurate IMO. But for what I use it for, testing cooktop, oven, etc it is close enough. Doesn't seem to be more than a few degrees off.ThermoPro quality What's not to like? READ the directions! It will make setup a breeze - I had to read them twice. Accuracy was not tested, but the screen is easy to read and from there simple point an click. I like it and recommend it.RichIt’s easy to use but it doesn’t always read as accurate as my old milwalkie I will probably spend the extra cash and get it next time
